PreSales Collective Community Events Manager
US - Remote

About the Role:


Supporting the growth of our global community is a significant initiative for 2022. You’ll have the opportunity to work on a central aspect of the organization - community is at the center of everything we do, not a support function for our product.


PreSales Collective is hiring a self-starter and entrepreneurial Community Events Manager to own community operations, and various aspects of community programming.


This is a full-time position that’s perfect for an early-to-mid-career professional, who is passionate about our mission, the PreSales profession, and looking for a role with a lot of ownership, where they can directly impact a community’s growth.


This is a public-facing community role, so the manager should be comfortable hosting events, being the “face” of the membership, and getting to know members of the community to provide an exceptional experience. 


This role will work closely with the community Founders, our Head of Community, and you will help manage a team of freelancers.

  • You must be process oriented, highly organized, and have a high degree of attention to detail.

  • You enjoy operations and all of the moving pieces of both in person and virtual events.

  • You are comfortable with ambiguity and multitasking, but you enjoy translating them to organized systems and clean details. 

  • You are a utility player, comfortable learning new tools and using various skills to achieve your goals.

  • No task is too small, and no opportunity is too big - there may be times when you have to reformat an excel sheet or clean data, and other times when you have the opportunity to present to executives. You feel comfortable doing what needs to be done to achieve the greater goal. 

  • You have an understanding of the tech world - through books, podcasts, current events, social conversations.

  • You have a willingness to work in a face-paced, slightly structured environment. 

  • Nice to have: previous experience in a PreSales role or familiarity with the function or previous community experience.


Responsibilities Include:


Manage our Online Community

  • Be one of the faces of PreSales Collective in the virtual community

  • Connect members with each other via thoughtful 1:1 introductions 

  • Create content to keep the community engaged daily

  • Moderate the community and ensuring the Code of Conduct and best practices are followed

  • Respond to general inquiries from community members

  • Operate various foundational applications used to run the community (Slack, Hubspot, Luma, Zoom)


Coordinate and Execute In-Person Events

  • Work with Local community leaders to organize in-person events. This includes finding venues, managing food and beverages, coordinating event communications, managing sponsor and partner communications, and other tasks as assigned. 

  • Determine which cities need to have a local event and understand local regulations on event management.


Overall Event Management + Hosting

  • Work directly with the Head of Community on planning and owning regular events for PreSales Collective, PreSales Leadership Collective, and PreSales Academy (virtual and in-person)

  • Organize and recruit webinar hosts and speakers for events 

  • Manage all event prep with hosts, panelists, and partners/sponsors.

  • Own events from beginning to end, setting up event pages, messaging reminders, etc.


Growth Strategy

  • Work with the Head of Community & Head of Member Experience to come up with creative ways to improve engagement (e.g. value for members)

  • Create and implement new ways to bring new members into the community

  • Create and manage an amazing onboarding experience for new members

  • Manage benchmarks for success (what happens in a member’s journey to ensure that they are getting the most benefit they can out of the community)

    • We expect this to be 25% but it is open for discussion for the right candidate!

  3. Video Interview (45 minutes) with Yuji Higashi or Kevin Mefford 

  4. Group Presentation (60 minutes): You’ll present on why you’re the best candidate for this role and what your initial thoughts are for upleveling our non-member & member experience. 

  5. Final Offer Made
