There is a question tormenting me that I need to ask the pre-sales community out there:
Who of you Sales Engineers, Pre-Sales Consultants or Solution Consultants and their leaders would value a book about an unmatched Discovery methodology?
Specifically about Domain-Driven Design and how its strategic patterns can be applied to your sales cycle? There is massive value in a highly differentiating (pre)sales approach, that will let the competition look clueless and will help you gain an unmatched understanding of your clients needs.
Very specifically I would point out
- why and when to use DDD as a Sales Engineer,
- how to conduct a workshop with a client and
- how to derive value of the results: into a proposal or readout.
Please let me know you are interested in such an approach generally.
Comment with any objection or idea you would like to add or would love to see covered in such a book.
As of now I only wrote books in german and that might become my first english one, so I want to be sure it hits a nerve.
Thanks a lot for your thoughts.
Let me know if you have any questions that jump into your mind while reading that.
PS: If someone of you knows an english publisher/editor who would be interested in a collaboration on the pre-sales topic, that would also be an awesome help.
