Cybersecurity Solutions Engineer

As Cybersecurity Solutions Engineer, reporting to the CTO, you will work on developing new and expanding existing services or projects that require your area of expertise and be part of a selection committee for new platforms. You will also be responsible for service improvements, technical resource for integrations with platforms and creating, maintaining, and executing the training and development programs relating to your SME area. (50%)

Responsible for onboarding of new clients and client services to Managed Services, this will include technical roll out of the service and initial stand up of processes and procedures, Cyber Solutions include XDR, EDR, Vulnerability and SIEM (40%)

Provide a Sales Engineer resource for the Sales team – although this will not be your primary role, but you will be asked for larger clients/prospective clients and some travel may be involved (10%)

General Responsibilities

  • Ability to listen and communicate effectively with vendors, prospects, clients, account managers and management.
  • Ability to be flexible, self-organize and deliver on timelines.

Internal Responsibilities

  • Assist with Cyber Security Team development and direction and maintaining standards for Services including input into Managers for SME performance reviews.
  • Contribute to the maturity and advancement of end-to-end Cybersecurity practice regarding Subject Matter Expertise.
  • Maintain and drive in-depth knowledge of the company’s technology partnerships and services related to your SME area.
  • Contribute to the development and maintain managed services road map regarding Cyber Security Services.
  • Advanced cybersecurity application configuration and integration/interop activities.
  • Creation (authorship) of how-to guides for cybersecurity tools deployment/installation and SoP’s for cybersecurity related activities.
  • Drafting of onboarding/integration/rollout high-level process steps.
  • Identify and communicate priorities to leadership for VirtualArmour to remain a leader in cybersecurity solutions.
  • Assist in the recruitment of talent.
  • Work closely with Technical Solutions team developing and providing feedback on solutions for your SME area.

External Responsibilities

  • Subject matter expert for solutions and services VirtualArmour provides to their client base for Managed Services
  • Scoping Level of Effort (LoE) for cybersecurity-based projects, asset/endpoint counts/estimation
  • Aid customers in developing solutions that enable and strengthen their network and security posture.
  • Prioritize, research, and respond as direct customer interface for technical issues.
  • Assist in growth and improvement to the company Cybersecurity offerings.
  • Willingness and availability to attend business development meetings (travel may be required when meetings are not conducted virtually).

Required Education & Experience


  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field is essential. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of this requirement.
  • A master’s degree or equivalent is desirable but not mandatory. Adequate professional experience can serve as a substitute.
  • Possession of advanced or professional certifications related to the cybersecurity technologies offered by VirtualArmour is highly advantageous.


Candidates must have experience with at least one of the following:

  • IBM QRadar
  • Stellar Cyber

Additionally, experience with one or more of the following is required:

  • SentinelOne
  • CrowdStrike
  • Rapid7
  • Nessus

Preferred Knowledge

  • Palo Alto Cortex XSOAR/XDR
  • Fortinet FortiSIEM/FortiNAC
  • Cyrisma
  • Cynet 360
  • Qualys

The ideal Product Sales Executive candidate will also meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum 3 years working in Cyber Sales Engineering, as a Cybersecurity Architect or Lead.
  • Available to travel, as needed.
  • Based in Denver, Colorado and able to work from the VirtualArmour office 3 days per week.

Base compensation of $90-110k, depending on experience. Up to 10% annual bonus.
