As we continue to scale, DSC is seeking an accomplished Director of Sales to drive sponsorship revenue growth while ensuring the seamless execution of sponsorship deliverables across all programs.
Job Overview:
The Director of Sales will lead sponsorship sales across DSC’s portfolio of in-person events, virtual programs, and digital media offerings. This includes cultivating relationships with prospective sponsors, closing deals, and maintaining strong partnerships. Additionally, the role includes overseeing sponsorship fulfillment to ensure a world-class experience for DSC sponsors.
This position reports to the Chief Event Officer and works closely with the C-Suite, requiring exceptional collaboration, strategic thinking, and client relationship management.
Key Responsibilities:
Sponsorship Sales:
- Lead sponsorship sales for all DSC programs, including in-person executive events, virtual programming, and digital media campaigns.
- Identify and pursue new sponsorship opportunities by building relationships with decision-makers at Fortune 500 companies, startups, and tech organizations.
- Develop and present customized sponsorship proposals that align with client objectives and DSC offerings.
- Own the sales pipeline, driving deal closures to meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to generate leads and create compelling sales materials.
Sponsorship Fulfillment:
- Oversee the execution of all sponsorship deliverables, ensuring high-quality implementation and sponsor satisfaction.
- Coordinate with the events team to align activations, such as branded booths, speaking opportunities, and lead generation tools, with event timelines.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for sponsors, providing updates and addressing questions before, during, and after events.
- Develop detailed fulfillment reports, capturing ROI metrics and actionable insights for sponsors.
Cross-Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with marketing and event teams to align sales efforts with program execution.
- Partner with senior leadership to identify trends and enhance DSC’s sponsorship offerings.
- Provide feedback on sponsor engagement to inform future product development and improve retention.
Qualifications:
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in sponsorship sales, business development, or event sales, preferably within the tradeshow space, events, or digital media.
- Proven ability to consistently meet or exceed sales targets.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, with a client-first approach.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with sponsorship fulfillment for large-scale conferences/tradeshows or executive events.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and event management software.

- Competitive salary with a lucrative performance-based incentive plan. $125K-$145K OTE, with $75K-$85K Base + $50K-$60K performance-based incentive plan.
