About the Company

Our client is a leading provider of advertising research and business intelligence. The Ad Insights Hub, its enterprise platform housing all of its syndicated research and forecasts, is a go-to tool for advertising- and marketing-related intel and strategy at all levels of the organization (research departments, product teams, marketing teams, sales teams, C-level, etc.).

About the Role

The Director of Sales will drive direct sales of the platform offering, focusing heavily on new client acquisition while expanding existing client relationships. Reporting to and working closely with the GM of the Ad Insights Hub, this individual contributor (to grow into player-coach) will partner cross-functionally with business intelligence, operations, and client services teams to build awareness and engagement with existing clients, as well as extending the brand and establishing new client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to drive new business and renewals
  • Drive direct sales of the platform to new clients with a heavy emphasis on new logo acquisition within existing markets and new markets.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the sales process
  • Partner with GM for prospect demos and sales presentations
  • Partner with GM and Marketing to help refine go-to-market strategy and messaging based on market feedback.
  • Working with GM and Account Management, leverage CRM and sales tools (Salesforce, Outreach, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator) to scale pipeline development

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally in data, research, media, SaaS, or platform-based sales
  • Deep understanding of the advertising ecosystem, including media owners, CTV, Adtech, and agencies
  • Experience selling into media companies, agencies (holding companies and independents), and adtech firms.
  • Strong familiarity with the business intelligence space, ideally experienced with subscription data products (e.g., Gartner, Forrester, Ipsos, eMarketer, CB Insights).
  • Proven success selling subscription data products
  • Energized by building and iterating in a startup-like environment
  • Strong communicator and collaborator, thriving in a respectful, team-oriented culture
  • Organized, entrepreneurial, and driven; values autonomy with accountability

Pay range and compensation package

$150,000 base + projected $100K commission + $50K bonus (OTE ~$300K). Includes comprehensive healthcare, paid time off, and flexible work structure.
