Position Overview

We are seeking a Director of Sales to lead and scale our sales organization. This role is responsible for driving new business growth, managing sales strategy, and building a high-performing team. The ideal candidate has deep experience selling managed services, understands the MSP sales lifecycle, and thrives in fast-growing environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with company goals  
  • Build, lead, and mentor a team of Account Executives and Sales Development Representatives  
  • Own the full sales funnel: prospecting, pipeline generation, forecasting, and closing  
  • Develop and refine sales processes, KPIs, compensation plans, and reporting  
  • Establish strong relationships with internal stakeholders (Marketing, Service Delivery, vCIOs) to ensure alignment and success  
  • Identify new market opportunities and support vertical-specific campaigns  
  • Oversee and contribute to RFP responses and high-value proposals  
  • Represent IT GOAT at industry events, conferences, and client-facing engagements

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of B2B sales experience, with at least 3 years in leadership roles  
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales targets in a Managed Services or IT Services firm  
  • Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud services, and the MSP value proposition  
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and performance management skills  
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities  
  • Experience working with Hubspot, Zoominfo, Connectwise

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience at a high-growth MSP or VAR  
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, HIPAA, or CMMC  
  • Understanding of modern sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDICC, Challenger Sale, SPIN)
