Your new role
We are searching for an enthusiastic and entrepreneurial-minded Enterprise Sales Director with a strong background in solution-based SaaS selling within the Pharma/Biotech/Medical Device industry.
In this pivotal role, you will be a vital member of our Corporate Sales Team, supporting Altmetric and ReadCube. Your primary focus will be on cultivating new business opportunities and nurturing relationships with existing clients. To excel, you must be sales-driven yet customer-focused, passionate about innovative technologies, and adept at solving customer challenges through our cutting-edge solutions.
In this role, you will operate as a hunter-seller, combining industry expertise with exceptional sales acumen to uncover new opportunities, deliver innovative solutions, and exceed revenue goals. You will be instrumental in aligning our cutting-edge SaaS solutions with the evolving needs of the life sciences market.

What you’ll be doing
- Embrace entrepreneurial ownership of a major sales territory for a fast-growing suite of products
- Develop a deep understanding of Digital Science corporate solutions including ReadCube & Altmetric, including their features, benefits, and applications in the life science field.
- Communicate the value of our services to customers, both from a technical and commercial perspective
- Identify and engage potential clients by demonstrating an understanding of their challenges and presenting tailored solution-based SaaS offerings.
- Track record of navigating intricate sales processes, identifying the right stakeholders, and addressing client concerns, ensuring smooth deal closures.
- Develop and execute sales plans to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Manage a pipeline of opportunities and leads to identify, engage, and develop relationships
- Work with internal teams to drive lead generation and awareness
- Act as “eyes and ears” on customer needs and wants to share and prioritize with the product team.
What you’ll bring to the role
- Several years of Life Science sales experience, SaaS experience is a plus.
- A demonstrated ability to sell into biotechnology, life science, therapeutic, chemistry, pharma, healthcare, and medical device sectors.
- Ability to develop comprehensive account strategies and execute them with precision.
- Track record of consistently meeting or exceeding 6 figure annual performance targets
- An understanding of the technology used and required in the scientific and research enterprise space
- A demonstrated ability to prospect for, qualify, and close sales
- Track record of balancing personal sales quota and prospecting targets
- Proficient in CRM software (Salesforce preferred) and comfortable navigating complex SaaS ecosystems.
- Intellectually curious and with a keen interest in technology.
- Adaptable, professional, courteous, motivated with a strong work ethic
- Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; develops alternative solutions
- Exceptional listening skills; clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptionally organized and detail-oriented
- Team player, but also comfortable working independently
