ECI is seeking a Sales Engineering Professional to provide ERP software solutions to manufacturing businesses.

We are looking for a Sales Engineering professional with an entrepreneurial mindset to help our customers improve their businesses using a consultative sales approach. Responsible for demonstrating the Manufacturing division’s ERP software and solutions to fit customer needs. Assists the Manufacturing sales team with technical product demonstrations, advice, and understanding the diverse and unique business challenges presented. Presenting in a board room setting and frequent travel are key expectations of this role.

Responsibilities

  • Explain and demonstrate the features and benefits of ECI’s Manufacturing ERP software to prospects, specifically the Deacom ERP solution.
  • Ability to clearly articulate and describe batch-and-process manufacturing operations to include formulation, inventory management, MRP, quality management, and other related processes.
  • Actively participate in scoping, discovery, and proposal review sessions with prospects and customers.
  • Assist sales teams in identifying and presenting solutions for complex business management processes.
  • Comprehend a prospect’s technical requirements to determine out-of-box capabilities or identify key requirements for custom development.
  • Ability to articulate solution options, associated risk-benefit analysis, solution pros and cons, and suggest process change recommendations.
  • Conduct customized and focused product demonstrations in-person or virtually to small and large audiences.
  • Communicate effectively and work with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to bring new ideas regarding industry best practices and process improvements using ECI solutions.
  • Familiarity with ERP solutions and implementations.
  • Meet assigned sales targets, contribute to overall sales growth.
  • Serve as a technical liaison between prospects and ECI.
  • Interface with product management and development teams regarding feature requests and solution enhancements.
  • Coordinate RFx responses to meet required timelines and expectations.
  • Support marketing, attend trade shows, support solutions webinars, and create product-focused and informative videos for general consumption.
  • Articulate technical requirements and complex business processes in a manner that is easy to understand.
  • Maintain technical knowledge, attend certification training, and conduct product training.

Knowledge, Skills, Ability, Education & Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years relevant experience selling and/or supporting software and SaaS solutions.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience navigating and working with ERP software.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience presenting in-person or virtually to large audiences.
  • Self-motivated with a proven track record in software systems and professional services sales.
  • Knowledge of cloud solutions, public (AWS, Azure, Google) including private multi-tenant and single-tenant environments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interface with both technical and nontechnical team members.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced presales environment, supporting multiple projects at any given time.
  • In-depth knowledge of batch and process manufacturing or requisite experience working for a manufacturer in this environment.
  • Understand how a manufacturer operates from “quote to cash”.
  • Highly dependable, possess good organization and time management skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • BS in an engineering discipline (CS, EE, IE, etc.) or a related field required.
  • Must possess strong presentation and communication skills including web-based video-driven sessions.
  • Able to communicate professionally, both written and verbal.
  • Well organized with the ability to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software suite and MS Teams
  • Working knowledge with APIs, SQL, and other relational databases.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com a plus.
  •   Ability to travel up to 40%.
