Founding Solutions Engineer - Direct Hire

Compensation: $75K base, + Uncapped bonuses ~$75K + .75% equity

We are seeking a founding solutions engineer for our growing, pre series A client. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with AI knowledge agents for enterprise that can ingest data across various systems and produce meaningful insights with minimal human intervention. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data and AI, thrive in a startup environment, and be excited about the potential for significant equity in a company positioned for a huge exit. Our customer is revolutionizing how businesses access and leverage their data. Pre-series A today, with strong funding and an active core client base, they can work with organizations of virtually any size to help customers access and leverage their data across all internal teams. This hire will be the first of many to join in a Solutions Engineering capacity, supporting both pre-sales and post-sales activities.

What You Will Do and Achieve

• Pre-Sales Support: Collaborate with Account Executives to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder deal cycles with C-level executives. Create and demo custom environments tailored to customer industry and line of business.
• Post-Sales Support: Ensure successful implementation and ongoing use of our solutions by partnering with customers. Provide technical support and guidance to help customers maximize their investment.
• Customer Success: Engage in customer-facing activities, including technical discovery calls and regular check-ins to address issues and ensure satisfaction.
• Technical POC Cycles: Manage and run technical proof-of-concept cycles to showcase the value of our solutions.
• Security Conversations: Lead discussions on security to ensure customers are comfortable with our security posture.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with product and engineering teams to deliver customer requests and represent the voice of the customer.
• ROI and Business Justification: Develop reports and presentations on ROI and business justification to support customer success and expansion opportunities.

Who You Are

• 5+ years of experience in sales engineering or solution consulting within a SaaS organization.
• 2+ years experience as a Founding Solutions Engineer.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly motivated, driven, and self-starting individual.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Experienced in partnering with Account Executives to manage technical deal cycles with enterprise customers.
• Consultative approach to solving customers’ business challenges, with a proven track record of overcoming technical and security objections.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Proficiency in Python or Java.
• Ability to configure, monitor, and maintain API-based integrations.

Bonus Skills & Experience

• Experience managing a book of business with direct responsibility for growing customer accounts.
• Background in account management, customer success, or post-sales technical consulting.
• Proven ability to drive expansion opportunities within existing accounts.
• Understanding of data governance, compliance, and security best practices.
• Prior experience with enterprise data platforms, analytics tools, or AI/ML solutions.
