Lead Implementation Consultant
Summary of Duties & Responsibilities
The Lead Consultant on the Business Services Team will be responsible for providing team leadership, subject matter expertise, and quality oversight across a range of engagements within the delivery organization. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent organizational skills, strong relationship management skills, and the ability to lead others.
This is a player lead role that will provide leadership and support to the consulting team, liaise with client and project stakeholders, and engage directly with clients on a targeted basis.
Essential Functions:
Team Leadership & Support
- Ownership of group processes to support the consulting practice in key focus areas relating to specific types of engagements or products.
- Identify and promote new service offerings to meet market and growth opportunities.
- Responsible for the productivity and quality of services provided by the team.
- Provide hands on consulting oversight on project initiatives as appropriate to promote, influence, and guide delivery excellence.
- Schedule management for individuals within key focus areas.
- Provide ongoing mentorship, oversight, and SME support to team members.
Service Planning & Delivery
- Discovery and estimation for specific types of work order and implementation consulting engagements.
- Planning, coordination, and management of specific work order engagements.
- Collaborate with project and client leadership in assessing opportunities, planning execution, managing risks, facilitating feedback, and providing support during both the sales and delivery cycles.
- Achieve annual utilization target, derived from a subset of billable engagements in key focus areas, as a subject matter expert providing oversight, or as an overflow resource for general project training and support.
Personnel Management
- Lead collaborative goal settings with the Manager and mentor key team members.
- Continuously monitor team performance and proactively provide feedback.
- Participate in the recruitment process for new hires.
- Identify areas of growth for staff and promote professional development.

Education or Prior Work Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business or technology discipline (Master’s degree helpful).
- 10+ years in technology consulting.
- 5+ years in an implementation or consulting leadership role.
- Previous experience with an ERP or related product company required.
