Our client in the IT Services & IT Consulting industry is seeking a Presales Engineer to join their team in Peachtree Corners, GA!

Overview:

The Presales Engineer will plays a vital role in supporting sales teams by contributing technical expertise throughout the sales process. This role involves conducting pre-sales consultations, evaluating client environments, designing solutions, and developing comprehensive proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate client needs into detailed scopes of work outlining system functionality and implementation details.
  • Partner with project integration and sales teams to develop accurate estimates for proposed solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and partners to secure competitive pricing and reliable service.
  • Prepare and deliver technical proposals and quotes, ensuring timely submissions to clients.
  • Serve as a technical liaison between teams and clients, ensuring seamless coordination between technical and sales efforts while maintaining a high level of client engagement and satisfaction.
  • Maintain knowledge of company services, product lines, and emerging technologies to recommend optimal solutions.

Education, Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred; some college coursework or technical training also considered.
  • Industry certifications (e.g., networking, systems, security) are a plus.
  • 7+ years of experience in the IT field with progressive responsibilities.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders and guide technical decision-making.
  • Experience translating client requirements into scalable technical solutions, including designing infrastructure and network architectures.
  • Pre-sales engineering experience with strong client-facing communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong knowledge of networking and systems, including Server Infrastructure, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, VMware, routing/switching, firewalls, telephony, etc.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt in fast-paced environments.
  • Background in managed services is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, skilled in working across diverse teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a methodical troubleshooting approach.
