Presales Engineer (Infrastructure)
As a Pre-Sales Consultant - IT Infrastructure, you will be responsible for providing technical guidance and expertise throughout the sales cycle. You will work closely with the sales team to identify customer needs, design tailored solutions, and demonstrate the value of our server, HCI, and virtualization offerings. Your primary focus will be to help clients achieve their IT goals through best-in-class infrastructure solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify client requirements and design appropriate IT infrastructure solutions.
- Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and technical workshops to showcase server, HCI, and virtualization solutions.
- Provide technical support to the sales team during the pre-sales phase, including responding to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
- Design and propose IT infrastructure solutions, including servers, storage, HCI (e.g., VMware vSAN, Nutanix, Dell VxRail), and virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Conduct proof-of-concept (POC) sessions to validate proposed solutions.
- Assist in creating solution architectures, bill of materials (BOM), and technical documentation for proposed solutions.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, products, and technologies related to IT infrastructure.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and technology partners.
- Provide post-sales support to ensure successful implementation and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 1+ years of experience in pre-sales, technical consulting, or IT infrastructure solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of server technologies (e.g., Dell, HPE, Lenovo), HCI solutions (e.g., VMware vSAN, Nutanix, Dell VxRail), and virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Strong understanding of networking, storage, and backup solutions.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and hybrid cloud solutions is a plus.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to create technical documentation, proposals, and BOMs.
- Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., VMware VCP, Nutanix NCP, Hpe certifications) are a plus.
