Sales Director
About the Position:
Sales Director will manage and lead as a brand ambassador for Dashing Diva on key national accounts. Develop and implement retailer specific sales plans to maximize company’s sales and profitability goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Category expert on products, planograms, competition, trends, and growth opportunities
- Identify and plan for sales growth strategies inclusive of new business development
- Maximize key seasons and brand awareness with off shelf promotional placement partnered with marketing activation by retailer
- Bottoms-up item level forecast by retailer for planogram and promotional performance
- Proven ability to articulate key product benefits and position differentiation against competition
- Establish, manage, and track timelines for on-time deliverables
- Monthly sales reporting and 30/60/90 day business planning
- Review business plans with SVP of Sales and align on all forecasts
- Manage retailer requests, marketing reviews, product feedback, and inventory needs
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business/Marketing or relevant field
- 5+ years in Retail, Sales, and/or Merchandising preferred emphasis on Beauty
- Proven track record of sales performance
- Experience working with Walmart and/or other National Accounts
- Strong people, listening, communication, and presentation skills
- Proven organizational, negotiation, category management, and business planning skills
- Cultivate strong working relationships with retailers, brokers, and cross functionally within Dashing Diva. (Sales, Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain, Product Development, and Creative)
- Strategic thinker with ability to think on your feet and pivot to contingency plans
- Professional decorum with all customers and leadership
- Retail Financial Acumen – (Budget, Forecasting, Promotional ROI Analysis)
- Advanced analytical skills and proficient computer skills (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.) Strong conceptual, problem solving, and analytics skills
