About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Senior Sales Engineer. As a critical member of our team, you'll serve as the technical value champion throughout the customer lifecycle by leveraging platform expertise to showcase capabilities, analyze outcomes, and ensure customers achieve measurable business impact from their investment in the Alembic platform.

This role is crucial in powering the success of our company by bridging the gap between technical capabilities and business value, working across both the sales and customer success functions.

What You'll Do

Drive technical proof points during sales process that increase win rates

Develop and execute sophisticated analyses that demonstrate clear ROI for customers

Create reusable technical methodologies that scale value demonstration across accounts

Deliver compelling technical demonstrations and presentations that articulate Alembic's unique value proposition

Analyze customer data to identify patterns, trends, and optimization opportunities

Increase customer retention and expansion through data-driven insights

Build trusted technical advisor relationships spanning prospect to mature customer stages

Collaborate with product teams to provide voice-of-customer input based on technical needs

Create and maintain technical documentation and best practices for customer success use cases

Customer Success Strategy: Influence our approach to technical enablement and value realization across the customer lifecycle

Product Direction: Become a key voice in product development based on your deep understanding of customer technical needs

What Will Help You Succeed

Must-Haves

  • 7+ years experience in technical analytics, data science, sales engineering, or similar technical roles
  • Strong Python / SQL skills with demonstrated ability to analyze complex datasets
  • Experience with data visualization tools and creating business-focused reports
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into accessible business insights
  • Strong presentation skills with experience delivering technical demonstrations
  • Proven ability to work effectively with both technical stakeholders and business users
  • Technical problem-solving orientation with attention to detail

Should-Haves

  • Background spanning both pre-sales and post-sales technical roles
  • Experience with dashboard development 
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships as a technical advisor
  • Experience defining and measuring technical KPIs aligned to business goals
  • Understanding of attribution models and marketing analytics methodologies
  • Background working in SaaS or enterprise software environments

Nice-to-Haves

  • Specific experience with marketing analytics platforms or media measurement tools
  • API integration knowledge and experience with data transformation processes
  • Experience developing custom analytics solutions for enterprise clients
  • Background working with enterprise clients in marketing/advertising technology
  • Experience creating technical training materials
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and experimental design
  • Experience in a hybrid sales/success function
