Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Microsoft SharePoint Architect or Solution Engineer to lead the design, development, and implementation of innovative SharePoint solutions tailored to meet the complex collaboration and content management needs of our organization. As a key member of our team, you will leverage your expertise in SharePoint architecture, customization, and integration to drive digital transformation and enhance productivity across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solution Design and Architecture: Lead the design and architecture of SharePoint solutions, including intranets, extranets, document management systems, and custom applications. Develop scalable, robust, and high-performance architectures that align with business requirements and best practices.
- Customization and Configuration: Customize and configure SharePoint sites, pages, lists, libraries, and workflows to meet specific business needs. Implement custom solutions using SharePoint Framework (SPFx), PowerShell, JavaScript, and other development tools and technologies.
- Integration: Architect and implement integrations between SharePoint and other enterprise systems, including Microsoft 365 applications (such as Teams, OneDrive, and Power Platform), third-party software, and line-of-business applications. Ensure seamless data flow and interoperability across systems.
- Governance and Security: Define and enforce governance policies, permissions, and security settings within SharePoint environments. Implement role-based access controls (RBAC), data encryption, and compliance measures to protect sensitive information and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Migration and Upgrades: Plan and execute SharePoint migration projects, including upgrading to the latest versions of SharePoint Online or SharePoint Server. Develop migration strategies, assess legacy content, and execute migration activities with minimal disruption to users.
- Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks within SharePoint environments, optimizing system performance, responsiveness, and scalability. Conduct performance testing and tuning activities to ensure optimal user experience.
- Training and Knowledge Transfer: Provide guidance, training, and knowledge transfer to SharePoint administrators, developers, and end users. Develop documentation, best practices guides, and training materials to support ongoing adoption and usage of SharePoint solutions.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, project managers, and external vendors to gather requirements, define technical solutions, and deliver SharePoint projects on time and within budget. Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting Microsoft SharePoint solutions, with a focus on SharePoint Online, SharePoint Server, and SharePoint Framework (SPFx).
- In-depth knowledge of SharePoint architecture, customization, and development techniques, including web parts, event receivers, workflows, and search configuration.
- Strong proficiency in SharePoint integration capabilities, including Microsoft 365 integration, third-party integrations, and custom API development.
- Experience with SharePoint migration tools and methodologies, such as ShareGate, Metalogix, or Microsoft's SharePoint Migration Tool.
- Expertise in SharePoint governance, security, and compliance, with a strong understanding of data protection, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in SharePoint environments.
