PreSales Collective is Hiring!

Job Description

PreSales Collective Head of Community

US - Remote

About the Role:

Supporting the growth of our global community is a significant initiative for 2021. You’ll have the opportunity to work on a central aspect of the organization - community is at the center of everything we do, not a support function for our product.

PreSales Collective is hiring a self-starter and entrepreneurial Community Manager to own community operations, and various aspects of community programming.

This is a full-time position that’s perfect for a early-to-mid-career professional, who is passionate about our mission, the PreSales profession, and looking for a role with a lot of ownership, where they can directly impact a community’s growth.

This is a public-facing community role, so the manager should be comfortable hosting events, being the “face” of the membership, and getting to know members of the community to provide an exceptional experience.

This role will work closely with the community Founders and you will help manage a team of freelancers.

About you:

  • You love building relationships and have an entrepreneurial mindset. You are creative and ambitious - challenges are opportunities in your world!

  • You must be process oriented and organized. We’ll lean on you to bring some method to the madness. You are comfortable with ambiguity and multitasking, but you enjoy translating them to organized systems and clean details.

  • You must feel comfortable with written and verbal communication with various constituents (including senior executives) both online and in person.

  • You are a utility player, comfortable learning new tools and using various skills to achieve your goals

  • You can balance and move quickly through various tasks and can manage multiple projects at once

  • No task is too small, and no opportunity is too big - there may be times when you have to reformat an excel sheet or clean data, and other times when you have the opportunity to moderate a discussion between 5 executives. You feel comfortable doing what needs to be done to achieve the greater goal.

  • You have an understanding of the startup and tech world - through books, podcasts, current events, social conversations.

  • Nice to have: previous experience in a PreSales role or familiarity with the function or previous community experience.

Responsibilities Include:

Manage our Online Community

  • Be a face of PreSales Collective in the online community

  • Connecting members with each other via thoughtful 1:1 introductions

  • Creating content to keep the community engaged daily

  • Work with a team of freelancers and guide them on weekly content sharing + commenting in the online community

  • Moderating the community and ensuring the Code of Conduct and best practices are followed

  • Respond to general inquiries from community members

  • Operate various foundational applications used to run the community (Slack, Hubspot, Luma, Zoom)

Event Management + Hosting

Hosting, planning and owning regular events for PreSales Collective (virtual and in-person)

  • Organizing and recruiting webinar hosts and speakers for events

  • Owning events from beginning to end, setting up event pages, messaging reminders, etc.

Growth Strategy

  • Come up with creative ways to improve engagement (e.g. value for members)

  • Create and implement new ways to bring new members into the community

  • Create and manage an amazing onboarding experience for new members

  • Manage benchmarks for success (what happens in a member’s journey to ensure that they are getting the most benefit they can out of the community)

Additional Benefits

  • This is an insanely valuable network-building opportunity - between the professionals, executives, founders, and investors that comes through our door. You’ll be playing air traffic controller between many valuable constituents in the tech ecosystem. With that, you’ll also learn a ton about what it means to grow and scale a company.

  • We’re a small, close knit team of 2 (you’ll be the 3rd). We’re non-hierarchical, we leave our ego at the door, we poke fun at one another (we take our work seriously, but never take ourselves too seriously), and challenge each other in ways that support our individual growth.

  • Flexible schedule and working location, unlimited vacation and sick days.

  • Opportunity to travel to visit members around the world

    • We expect this to be 25% but it is open for discussion for the right candidate!

Don’t think you meet all of the requirements, but think you’d be an awesome fit? We encourage you to apply and tell us why!

Please email a video cover letter and a resume to info@presalescollective.com. Please note that at this time we are only able to consider US-based candidates, who do not require sponsorship

Your video cover letter should be no more than five minutes and include the following:

  • Other questions to ponder (optional):

    • If you could create this role, how would you approach it?

    • What is PreSales Collective missing that you'd own?
