Sparkle PreSales Engineer

Sparkle is looking for an expert resource to be included within the Pre Sales function as part of the development activities of the Multinational Enterprise Market. The role of the PreSales Engineer is to provide quality pre-sales technical support to the sales organization. The Engineer interacts with clients and supports sales reps and sales management. This position will support sales reps in multiple geographic locations and may require some travel.

Responsibilities:

• Guarantees support to the sales forces in the pre-sales phase for the design of the technical and economic solution to be proposed to the Customer;
• Identifies, within the Services portfolio, the solution that best meets the customer's needs;
• Interacts with Technology Providers, and Sparkle's marketing and provisioning departments to design solutions that fit Customers’ requirements;
• Develop technical responses and strategy for RFIs and RFPs;
• Administer technical training and guidance to sales reps and management;
• Produces a detailed project that defines the technical solution and related costs, an integral part of the commercial offer to the Customer;
• Has knowledge and hands-on experience on designing and/ or managing solutions in one or more of the following context: Ethernet and IP Networking solution, SD-WAN, IoT/ M2M, Cloud and Security;
• It is an active part in meetings with end customers or at joint events, guarantees its contribution by presenting the Sparkle portfolio, any solution proposed to the customer, the distinctive features of the offer.

Requirements:

An in-depth knowledge of international telecommunications networks and services is required, in particular Ethernet and IP Data Networking solutions, SD-WAN, SASE, IoT/ M2M, Cloud and Security.

A good knowledge of the telecommunications market and of the main international players is also a preferential title. Sd-WAN, Security, Google Cloud and AWS certifications are welcome.

A multidisciplinary approach and a background of knowledge and hard & soft skills, knowledge of corporate IT architecture is expected.

The key attitudes that the candidate must possess for the achievement of the assigned objectives are a good level of analysis and synthesis, proactivity, customer focus, problem solving skills, management and planning of complex projects and activities, creativity and ability to rationalize aims.

In addition, autonomy and the ability to manage the team are fundamental.

A degree in technical disciplines is required, with the ability to prepare documentation and carry out presentations and negotiations.
