Scope of Role

We are seeking a highly skilled pre-sales engineer with extensive knowledge and experience in ERP software to join our client’s growing Team based in Connecticut in a hybrid role.

As a Pre-Sales engineer, you will serve as a technical expert and trusted advisor to our client’s customers during the pre-sales process. You will be responsible for utilising your technical expertise to support our sales efforts through understanding customer pain-points and proposing customised solutions that demonstrate the functional capabilities of iQ software.

Key Responsibilities

The role involves the following responsibilities:

  • Act as a technical expert and be responsible for providing pre-sales technical and functional support to clients during the pre-sales process.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of our software solution and be able to communicate technical concepts to potential customers in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Leads pre-sale discussions to identify customer requirements surrounding ERP software and solutions.
  • Present the business value of our client’s software’s applications and demonstrate a deep familiarity with the client’s direction, product roadmap and industry presence.
  • Work cross-functionally with the sales, project management and delivery teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop and deliver proof of concepts that will establish how our solutions will address the customer’s pain-points, ultimately, translating your technical capabilities into business solutions.
  • Follow up promptly on technical queries, ensuring configurations align with customer needs.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the technical solutions that can be deployed to the Customer base.
  • Provide high level technical support during the sales process, addressing customer concerns and questions.
  • Work with a sense of urgency to meet agreed timescales and to drive the relevant teams to a successful outcome.
  • Act as an advisor to the customer to recommend a solutions architecture that fits their business challenges.
  • Build and manage domain-specific, impressive demonstrations that effectively drive interest in new clients as well as in existing ones to broaden their usage of our clients’ solutions.

  • The ability to communicate (written & verbal) technical scenarios and situations to a variety of technical & non-technical audiences.
  • Confidence in delivering engaging software demonstrations.
  • Resilience and can-do attitude.
  • Relevant industry and software knowledge.
  • Ability to understand client’s environments and recommend appropriate technology.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical abilities.
  • Full-clean drivers’ license.

Knowledge and Experience

  • 5 years + experience in a similar pre-sales engineering role.
  • Proven track record of achieving targets in a competitive environment.
  • Experience in ERP software applications.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Salary: $100k with possible commission
