OneMarketData has open positions in our global Pre-Sales Engineering technical team in North America, UK and Western Europe. We seek top-notch pre-sales engineers with financial market data experience. 

A Pre-Sales Engineer is a client-facing, hands-on technical role working closely with our Sales team. Pre-Sales engineers assist potential and new OneTick customers with evaluating and implementing OneTick market data service and OneTick time series database solutions.

Your duties and day to day tasks might include any of the following: 

• Demonstrating and deploying OneTick software and time series data models to OneTick customers and prospects, with a stress on market data
• Providing market data and OneTick market data service subject matter expertise 
• On-site or off-site interactions with prospects and customers
• OneTick end user and system administrator training and advisory services
• OneTick system installation, implementation and performance tuning on Windows, Linux or MAC
• Designing and tuning OneTick Python API analytical queries for market data analysis and custom analytical use cases
• Assisting customers with integrating OneTick software and market data services with other 3rd party systems (e.g., trading systems, data feeds, reporting, etc.)
• Design and development of data models for various market data use cases (e.g., market data bars, quantitative research, algorithmic trading, trading risk and compliance, etc.)
• Leading independent technical Pre-Sales projects and participating in team projects

Qualifications and Skills:

• Programming languages (Python and Pandas experience required)
• Solid SQL experience
• Time series database experience preferred
• General data modeling knowledge and understanding of financial market data, data structures and asset classes (e.g., equities and derivatives, ETFs, futures, options, fixed income, FX, crypto)
• Good understanding and preferably experience working with quantitative finance
• Strong communication skills (both verbal and writing) and interpersonal skills
• Confidence, articulate and professional speaking abilities, and a strong ability to listen well
• Ability to collect data, identify problems, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
• Prior experience in client-facing technical role
• Experience in the field of software Pre-Sales engineering
• BS degree in Science, Engineering or Mathematics

Recommended Qualifications

• Familiarity and hands-on experience with intraday and real-time data processing and data management issues
• Commercial Cloud Deployment experience
• Containerization experience
• Time series database experience
• MS. or Ph.D.in Science, Finance, Engineering or Mathematics.
• Solid system performance and tuning skills
• System monitoring experience
• Project Management experience
