The Solutions Engineer

​

The Solutions Engineer performs a role of providing commercial support and assistance to the product management and ProServices teams. The role will work with customers to develop software solutions. The role will have a strong emphasis on Solutions Architecting, Technical Documentation and creating Technical Requirements. The candidate will then present to the client.

Pre-sales

• Accompanies the sales team throughout the sales cycle in the presentation, promotion, and commercialization of the offer (demonstrations and POCs, highlighting solution value proposition)
• Analyzes the needs of the client and then designs the most appropriate technical solution: analysis and documentation of technical specifications
• Develops a technical proposal in the case of complex solutions: choice of solution components
• Ensures the technical feasibility and deployment of the solution: validation of the client data, communication, resource availability, deployment schedule
• Keeps abreast of technological and economic market trends, and occasionally participates in professional fairs and conferences
• Submit orders for licenses, SaaS or specific developments done for a client or partners

ProService/PLM

• Manages projects in cooperation with internal and external customers and partners, in NA
• Setup Proof of Concept environment in collaboration with the proservices team
• Participates in the technical management of solution integration projects
• Collaborate with the PLM team to provide feedback on solution features and market trends learned from interactions with clients.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree
• 3 Years experience working within a Software sales position
• Must have B2B Enterprise Software Solutions sales experience specifically with Postal or Mailing
• Previous experience in the print and mail software industry with knowledge of industry trends and document management solutions preferred.
• A good understating of IT infrastructure including networking, servers, cloud-based deployment and VM.
• Experience with developing software solutions
• Preferred Company Experience (Xerox, Canon, Ricoh, HP, Solimar, Crawford, Compart, Pitney Bowes, Sefas, Open Text, Quadient, Precisely, Racami, Bell & Howell and GrayHair Software)
