Sales Engineer
Job Description
Colas Rail Netherlands is looking for a Sales Engineer who reports to Sales Manager.
The Sales Engineer supports Sales Manager in selling technology solutions/services to prospects and existing customers. He/she understands technical aspects of the product/projects and explains them to our clients.
Activities
Specifically, Sales Engineer is responsible for the following tasks:
- Together with Sales Manager, act as the company's point of contact for all sales activities;
- Support business development activities and ensures local implementation according to the company strategy;
- Preparing and developing technical presentations to explain our company's products/services to clients;
- Generating high-quality sales leads, following up after initial contact, securing and renewing orders/projects, negotiating prices and completing sales;
- Helping customers who have problems with installed products and recommending improved or upgraded materials and products;
- Contribute on purchasing new products;
- Support the quotation process for projects, the delivery of the products and the invoicing of the orders in collaboration with the administration team;
- Support on contract management activities with suppliers and contribute on contracts/terms and conditions negotiation with the support of the Legal team;
- Contribute on preparing the monthly financial report which includes cost level and forecast of sales activities;
- Raise awareness of the company’s social responsibility commitments through specific initiatives.
Requirements and Experiences
- Educational background in technical field (preferably in electrical);
- 1-2 years of experience in sales within technological infrastructures industry;
- Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service skills;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Fluent in Dutch and English languages;
- Excellent presentation and creativity skills;
- Flexible, willing to learn and teamwork approach.
