Job Summary

​

We are seeking a Data Engineer to join our clients team on a fully remote, contract-to-permanent basis. Ideal candidates should have extensive experience in developing ETL solutions using Talend and/or Azure Data Factory, proficiency in Snowflake, and a solid understanding of data warehouse concepts. Responsibilities include independently managing projects, analyzing and migrating legacy solutions, and providing technical direction for complex data analytics solutions. Experience in documenting process flows and familiarity with cloud technologies is a plus.

Responsibilities

​

• Work independently on projects and tasks (main job responsibility)
• Capable of analyzing legacy solutions for migration to newer technologies (main job responsibility)
• Provides technical direction for the design of complex and large scale data analytics solutions to effectively meet business needs. (main job responsibility)
• Contributes to the solution design of projects that address business needs, including the analysis of multiple solution options (main job responsibility)
• Partners with the Enterprise Architecture team on the creation of the conceptual architecture that addresses the high level business requirements. Participates in Solution Architecture Review for applicable projects
• Authors complex level technical designs that define how the functional requirements will be technically enabled.
• Provides guidance to an extended project team related to the solution architecture and technical design. Assists and advises project teams in the configuration, testing, implementation and support of secure technical solutions.
• Provides sizing and detailed estimates for complex new project requests.
• Consults on design approaches to solving visible and complex business problems.

Requirements

​

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Engineering skills / training / work experience in relevant technical domain (required)
• 8+ year of engineering experience in a relevant technical domain (required)
• 5+ year of developing ETL solutions using Talend and/or Azure Data Factory (required)
• Knowledge and experience in Snowflake (required)
• Knowledge of Data Warehouse concepts and best practices.
• Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies
• Experience delivering Features through the full software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Good verbal and written communication skills
