Position Overview

HEAVY.AI is seeking an accomplished Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer to partner with our commercial sales team to design and deliver technical solutions for new and existing customers.

You will be joining a dynamic and innovative team that works directly with customers to understand how our technology can solve business problems. You will be the customer facing expert to help prospects understand how the technology works, how it is unique, and how they can drive real business value by adopting it. Our Solutions Engineers are not just here to deliver a demo or answer an RFP, we strive to become a trusted advisor to our customer and partners to understand their needs, help them on their journey to evaluate alternatives, and share specific insight into how the HEAVY.AI product can become an integral part of their business solution. It’s not good enough to simply know the answer to the questions, we must also make sure the right questions are being asked.

Qualifications for Pre-Sales, Solutions Engineer

• A successful track record as part of an enterprise, pre-sales software team resulting in revenue growth.
• Ability and desire to create direct relationships with prospects and become a trusted advisor.
• Experience analyzing and organizing geospatial data. This will often include Python based tools for analyzing and processing data.
• 7+ years working with SQL and traditional ETL techniques to prepare and load data and make it analytics ready.
• Ability to develop and test solutions for feasibility, reliability, and quality with confidence.
• Solid communication skills to be able to convey complex technical topics in terms of business value and differentiation from alternative approaches.
• Experience with complex sales cycles and an ability to find creative ways to accelerate them in partnership with sales representatives.
• Comfort with the cloud and on-prem technical environments generally based around Linux based operating systems.
• Experience with machine learning models and the analytics approaches to using them. Experience with Large Language Model implementations are a plus.
• A majority of our customer interactions tend to be virtual but there will be opportunities to also participate in person by traveling to customer sites and industry events. 
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
