Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in systems design or coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python).
  • Experience working with internal or external tech stack used by gTech Ads: BigQuery, Cloud functions, compute infrastructure, PLX.
  • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience working with client-side web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP), and experience with database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
  • Experience with cloud technologies such as architecting, developing, or maintaining cloud solutions in virtualized environments or cloud data engineering.
  • Experience in an analytical role such as business intelligence, data analytics, or statistics.
  • Experience translating technical concepts and solutions to non-technical and executive audiences.
  • Experience using machine learning and building solutions.

About The Job

gTech Ads is responsible for all support and media and technical services for customers big and small across our entire Ad products stack. We help our customers get the most out of our Ad and Publisher products and guide them when they need help. We provide a range of services from enabling better self help and in-product support, to providing better support through interactions, setting up accounts and implementing ad campaigns, and providing media solutions for customers business and marketing needs and providing complex technical and measurement solutions along with consultative support for our large customers. These solutions range from bespoke and customized ones for our customers to scalable support for millions of customers worldwide. Based on the evolving needs of our ads customers, we partner with Sales, Product and Engineering teams within Google to develop better solutions, tools, and services to improve our products and enhance our client experience. As a cross-functional and global team, we ensure our customers get the best return on investment with Google and we remain a trusted partner.

The Platforms Engineering team sets the technical foundations and develops the necessary platforms and components for both Ads Solutions Engineering and regional teams to efficiently build and deliver customer solutions.

In this critical role within gTech Ads, you will focus on both solutioning and scaling at a global level, partnering with regional stakeholders, product teams, and specialists, and re-envisioning the way gTech Ads goes to market across customer segments. You will create a bold technical goal in the ads solutions space empowering customers and teams across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build technical platforms to support gTech Ads teams in developing customer solutions efficiently and compliant with data and legal policies.
  • Work with regional and global teams to understand their needs to identify areas for improvement on our existing platforms.
  • Build automation tools that help gTech Ads teams perform their work more efficiently, with a focus on customer deliverables.
  • Understand the nuances of clients within the industry and develop subject matter expertise in trending spaces.
