Athenahealth EMR Implementation Consultant

Job Title

We’re looking for an experienced Athenahealth EMR Consultant to help configure and optimize Athena for our telehealth practice. This role involves customizing Athena to support our workflows, ensuring billing accuracy, and building the right integrations for our operations.

Responsibilities:

• Configure and customize Athenahealth to align with telehealth practice needs.
• Set up user roles, templates, scheduling, and workflows.
• Ensure billing setup is correct, including claims, coding, and payment workflows.
• Advise on best practices for EMR optimization and revenue cycle management.
• Support custom integrations using the Athenahealth API.
• Collaborate with our technical team to ensure smooth implementation and long-term scalability.

Requirements:

• Proven hands-on experience with Athenahealth EMR setup and configuration.
• Strong knowledge of Athenahealth billing and revenue cycle workflows.
• Experience with Athenahealth API and custom integrations.
• Telehealth or outpatient practice background is a plus.
• Ability to translate practice needs into EMR workflows and billing processes.
