About the Company
The Server Store is a family-owned business that’s been supporting data centers for over 30 years. We specialize in refurbished IT hardware and pride ourselves on operating nimbly, reliably, and with integrity. We’re looking for a Director of Commercial Operations to manage and scale our enterprise sales division.
Role Summary
This is a hands-on leadership role. You will be managing sales, support, and e-commerce while working hand-in-hand with operations. Data centers, AI, and IT infrastructure are booming industries. You’re joining at a time where the business is primed for 10x growth, and our goal is to build the engine to capture it.
Key Responsibilities
- Take over management of the entire sales, sales support, and e-commerce teams
- Own the entire the sales cycle – from inbound, to quote, to cash
- Launch CRM and own the entire pipeline from inbound, remarketing, and net-new outbound
- Revamp and manage pre-sales/post-sales support by building practices, SOP’s, and training, and taking co-ownership with Operations
- Manage staffing and hiring decisions as we grow the Sales team
- Own sales, pricing, and inventory decisions with the e-commerce team
- Define and execute go-to-market on tangential products and services that are already in our queue
- Own the sales piece of our ERP evaluation and rollout
The most important KPI’s you will own are:
- Sales – we are seeing organic growth as a company from the AI boom, and have ambitious sales growth targets to convert more opportunity
- Profitability – as a 31-year-old business, we believe in building a respectfully profitable and sustainable company. Sales only matter if they are profitable.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in sales leadership, commercial operations, or revenue-driving operational roles
- Comfortable working in a smaller, fast-moving environment that might lack traditional structure
- Experience managing frontline sales teams
- Experience with software and vendor selection
- Comfort owning sales performance across multiple channels, including direct B2B sales and e-commerce
- Strong operational mindset with the ability to understand fulfillment, logistics, and/or warehouse-driven environments
- Someone who can balance strategy with hands-on execution
- A collaborative leader who builds trust across departments
Strongly preferred
- Experience with E-commerce
- Experience in distribution, manufacturing, logistics, or warehouse businesses
- Have had to be part of a roll-out of CRM, ERP, or other software used by sales teams
