Working alongside our co-founder and CEO, you will be responsible for driving new sales activities and revenue. You will strategically seek visionary clients that suit the Motto® core offerings and secure high value accounts. In this role, you should be able to articulate our competitive difference, understand and distill the complex challenges our clients, and communicate how we can solve their business problems. You speak business and brand without jargon and you know how to sell without sounding like you're selling.

  • A track record of securing high-value deals and experience working with c-suite leaders of high-growth companies and global brands.
  • Field inquiries, take calls, build proposals, and move a lead through to close.
  • Maintain an active pipeline of new sales acquisition targets while maximizing new projects from existing clients.
  • Proven success of increasing sales, who can navigate and win new business including building client relationships across founders, leaders, and brand managers.
  • Own and hit annual sales targets according to an agreed sales plan.
  • You know branding and understand the fundamentals of business and understand how brand maximizes value for a business.
  • You actively identify new business opportunities and position the agency as a stand out in the most interesting projects while establishing our value as a premium partner.

  • Can lead a Weekly Sales Meeting with a presentation focused on data, targets, and project updates and impacts.
  • You deliver results and see yourself as an A player with a can-do, optimistic attitude.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build new business pipeline by generating outbound leads.
  • Build and nurture relationships inbound leads.
  • Manage leads within Hubspot CRM. 
  • Respond to initial inquiries including initial new business calls with prospects and provide a POV on next steps.
  • Attend/lead applicable capabilities meetings and sales discussions.
  • Prepare regular status updates of the biz dev pipeline and marketing/outreach activities.
  • Coordinate follow up activities and required actions for all prospects within biz dev pipeline to secure new clients.
  • Write and craft proposals based on project requirements.
  • Provide feedback to company leadership on sales related topics.
  • Manage team to prep for proposal review meetings/presentations includes conducting background research, coordinating calls, refining approach, building presentations.


  • 7+ years of agency experience preferably with business development experience within an branding agency.
  • Must have Hubspot certification or know the platform deeply.
  • Understands industry developments, market trends, and their impact on business. 
  • Moderate ability to design and build presentation decks.
  • Strong client-facing communication skills with the ability to quickly understand client needs.
  • Communicates effectively and with influence at all levels and across all functions.
  • Solid track record of developing successful relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Confirmed and proven record of seeking out and generating organic growth opportunities with existing clients.

  • Role: This is a Fractional position to start with a six month runway to Full Time. 
  • Compensation: The salary range for this role is base, plus commission.
