Role Overview  

The Director of AWS Sales will lead Impetus’s go-to-market strategy, business development, and strategic partnerships focused on AWS. This senior leader will drive revenue growth by expanding our AWS-focused footprint across key industries, deepening our alliance with AWS, and shaping client engagement strategies around modern data platforms, AI/ML, and large-scale cloud migration programs.  

Key Responsibilities  

  • Build and execute a comprehensive AWS sales strategy to drive pipeline growth and revenue acceleration.  
  • Cultivate executive-level relationships with AWS field teams, customers, and related strategic partners.  
  • Identify and develop AWS-related opportunities in collaboration with account executives, solutions architects, and delivery leaders.  
  • Partner with AWS alliance, product, and go-to-market teams to co-develop joint value propositions and campaigns.  
  • Stay ahead of emerging AWS capabilities and services and translate technical value into clear business outcomes.  
  • Contribute to forecasting, territory planning, and revenue reporting in collaboration with sales operations.  
  • Represent Impetus at AWS and cloud ecosystem events, conferences, and joint marketing initiatives.  

Required Qualifications  

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise software or consulting sales, with 5+ years in cloud, data modernization, or advanced analytics platforms.  
  • Proven experience selling AWS-based solutions or directly managing the AWS partnership with measurable success.  
  • Strong understanding of the cloud, data, and AI ecosystem.  
  • Track record of closing large enterprise deals and building senior-level client relationships.  
  • Excellent executive communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.  
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally across sales, delivery, marketing, and product teams.  
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, engineering, or related field; MBA or similar advanced degree preferred.  

Preferred Qualifications  

  • Deep network within the AWS ecosystem, including field sales, SI alliances, marketplace, and product teams.  
  • Experience leading go-to-market initiatives for consulting or professional services firms.  
  • Understanding of complex cloud architectures, data lake and lakehouse design, and AI/ML use cases on AWS.
