Enterprise Sales Engineer - Series A, Cyber Start-Up, East-Coast, Fortune 500
Location: Remote - East Coast. Please note, only Eastern Time zone candidates will be considered.
Trident Search are partnering with a high-revenue growth cyber start-up that focus on protecting the software and AI supply chain within, Fortune 500, Government and Critical Infrastructure.
The vendor has impressive Fortune 500 customers already and the position would directly support a Sales Director with a $5m ARR revenue pipeline so there is significant earning potential.
The Role
We’re looking for an Enterprise Sales Engineer comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments. This is a hands-on role where you’ll help shape the Sales Engineering function as the company scale.
Responsibilities
- Partner with sales to run discovery sessions and map solutions to customer challenges.
- Lead product demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and technical evaluations.
- Translate technical requirements into clear business value for both engineers and executives.
- Support RFP/RFI responses and help create technical collateral.
- Represent the company at customer meetings, events, and industry briefings.
- Provide customer feedback to product and engineering teams to help shape future features.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years in pre-sales engineering
- Strong background in cybersecurity (experience with topics like SBOMs, DevSecOps, CI/CD is a plus)
- Software background as opposed to networking. Basic level of coding in C/C++ and Python (please note, we are not seeking Software Engineer level expertise)
- If you have experience in Embedded Systems that would highly beneficial
- Excellent communication skills—able to present to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience running demos, pilots, or proofs-of-value with enterprise customers.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-growing startup environment.
- Ability to travel for customer engagements and events
Compensation
Compensation: Circa $250k split 70/30. Full medical coverage for employee and dependents. Stock options as well as 401k and unlimited PTO.
