They are now seeking a Founding Head of Sales to build the sales function from the ground up, define go-to-market strategy, and drive early revenue as the business scales. The Role

As Founding Head of Sales, you will own the entire revenue motion — from defining the initial sales strategy to closing key early customers and building a repeatable, scalable sales engine. You will work closely with the founders, Product, and Engineering to refine positioning, shape the ideal customer profile, and translate technical capabilities into compelling commercial value. Over time, you will hire, mentor, and lead the sales team as the company grows. This role is both highly strategic and deeply hands-on, ideal for someone who thrives in zero-to-one environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the initial go-to-market and sales strategy
  • Own pipeline generation, forecasting, and revenue targets
  • Personally lead and close early-stage and enterprise sales opportunities
  • Establish sales processes, tooling, and metrics from the ground up
  • Partner closely with Product and Engineering to inform roadmap based on customer feedback
  • Refine messaging and positioning for technical and business stakeholders
  • Build and scale the sales team as the company grows
  • Develop strategic partnerships and identify expansion opportunities

About You

  • Experienced sales leader with 7+ years in B2B SaaS, including early-stage or founding roles
  • Proven track record of closing complex, technical deals
  • Background in AI, data, developer tools, or infrastructure strongly preferred
  • Comfortable selling unfinished products and shaping the narrative alongside founders
  • Highly analytical, execution-oriented, and outcomes-driven
  • Strong communicator who can engage both technical and executive audiences
  • Energized by ambiguity and motivated by building from scratch
