Presales Engineer – Network Security Vendor
Location: South East United States (Remote / Field-based)
Compensation: $240,000 OTE + Comprehensive Benefits Package
About the Role
We are a globally recognized leader in network and cybersecurity solutions, trusted by enterprises and service providers worldwide. As part of our continued growth in the South East US, we are seeking a Presales Engineer to partner closely with our sales organization and customers, providing technical leadership throughout the sales cycle.
This role can be based anywhere in the South East United States and is ideal for a customer-facing security professional who enjoys influencing technical decisions, solving complex challenges, and working with cutting-edge security technologies.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the primary technical advisor to enterprise and strategic customers during the presales process
- Partner with Account Executives to develop and execute territory and account strategies
- Discover customer business and security requirements and align them to our solutions
- Deliver compelling technical presentations, architecture workshops, and product demonstrations
- Design and validate network security architectures, including PoCs and technical evaluations
- Respond to RFPs, RFIs, and security assessments with high-quality technical input
- Work cross-functionally with product management, engineering, and customer success teams
- Stay current on industry trends, threat landscapes, and competitive solutions
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Presales Engineer, Sales Engineer, or Solutions Architect in cybersecurity
- Strong hands-on knowledge of network and security technologies (e.g., NGFW, SASE, SD-WAN, Zero Trust, cloud security)
- Solid foundation in networking concepts (routing, switching, TCP/IP, VPNs)
- Experience supporting enterprise or large commercial customers
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Self-driven, collaborative, and comfortable working remotely in a field-based role
- Willingness to travel within the South East region as needed
Nice to Have
- Experience working for a global or top-tier security vendor
- Cloud security experience across AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCNP, PCNSE, NSE, or equivalent)
- Experience working with channel partners and system integrators
