About this position  

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Director to join our team. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in a similar commercial position, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and building strong relationships with clients. The role requires a strong understanding of the sales process, excellent communication and negotiation skills and a drive to exceed customer expectations.  

Key Responsibilities  

Sales  

  • Develop and maintain a strong client base through prospecting and lead generation  
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers  
  • Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations to customers and potential customers  
  • Negotiate and close deals with clients, ensuring favorable terms and conditions  
  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales, gross profit and order book targets  
  • Provide excellent customer service and support to ensure client satisfaction  
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Design and Product Development to maximize sales opportunities  
  • Keep up to date with industry trends, market conditions, sustainable and competitor activities  
  • Participate in key industry events and conferences  

Operations and Planning  

  • Elaborate an accurate three-year regional sales forecast plan together with the CCO  
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts for management review  
  • Elaborate the sales annual regional budget together with the CCO  
  • Meet with the CCO on a frequent basis to track overall sales performance  
  • Follow key company policies and procedures  
  • Ensure that products and services are delivered in line with customer requests  

Experience, Competencies & Skills  

  • Strong written and verbal communication, presentation and negotiation skills  
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships  
  • Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset. The candidate should be goal-oriented, self-driven, and thrive in a performance-driven culture  
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team  
  • Experience working across multiple cultures, time zones and teams  
  • Resilience under pressure juggling multiple projects and against tight deadlines  
  • Proficiency in using CRM software (preferably Salesforce) and other applications involved in the sales process  
  • Knowledge of the Onboard market  
  • A strong understanding of product development and new service concepts  
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Marketing, or a related field  
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar commercial sales position  
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets  
  • Flexibility to travel as needed  
  • English speaker (Native) and Spanish (ACFTL Advanced Low / Mid-Level)  
  • Be based in the United States: The candidate must be a permanent resident or citizen of the United States with a valid work permit or authorization to work in the country.  
  • Experience in onboard equipment or catering supplies for airlines, railway companies or hotels
