Sales Director
Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Regional Sales Manager to lead our horticultural tools business expansion in the United States. This role will focus on building strategic partnerships with distributors, optimizing sales channels, and driving market penetration in the competitive North American landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit and onboard U.S. distributors (wholesalers, retailers, contractors) to hit 100%+ channel coverage for premium horticultural tools; build long-term partnerships via contract negotiation and compliance management.
- Develop regional sales plans, break down annual targets into quarterly/monthly dealer quotas, and track performance (shipments, inventory, sales) via dashboards to exceed goals.
- Conduct quarterly market research on trends (smart gardening) and competitor strategies (pricing, promotions, distribution); provide actionable insights.
- Train distributors on products (e.g., lithium battery safety, IoT tool maintenance) and collaborate on localized promotions (seasonal shows, e-commerce campaigns) to boost retail sales.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Business/Marketing.
- 3+ years in North American horticultural tool sales; proven in dealer recruitment and managing $5M+ annual sales.
- Familiarity with smart gardening tech (robotic mowers) is a plus.
- Fluent in English; Spanish/Portuguese a bonus.
- Strong negotiation skills, CRM proficiency, and data-driven decision-making.
Travel Requirements
- Comfortable with 25-50% domestic travel across the U.S. for regional visits, dealer meetings, and key industry events (e.g., GIE+EXPO).
Preferred Qualifications
- Existing relationships with U.S. outdoor power equipment (OPE) dealers, including major retailers (Home Depot) and independent chains.
- Familiarity with electric OPE trends—a high-growth segment in the market.
