The Role  

  

EticaAG is seeking a strategic and execution-focused Sales Director to drive commercial growth across priority U.S. markets. This role will be responsible for originating, developing, and closing complex BESS opportunities while building long-term partnerships across C&I, MUSH, and Developer segments.  

  

Reporting to the National Head of Sales, the Sales Director will operate as an individual contributor with primary responsibility for advancing and closing opportunities, supported by the broader commercial team on origination, go-to-market strategy, and market expansion initiatives.  

  

Key Responsibilities  

  

  • Deal Execution: Identify, qualify, and close complex BESS sales opportunities from early engagement through contract execution.  
  • Market Development: Execute regional and account-level sales strategies aligned with national GTM priorities, driving revenue growth and pipeline development.  
  • Strategic Partnerships: Build and maintain senior-level relationships with developers, EPCs, energy consultants, utilities, and public-sector stakeholders.  
  • Customer & Stakeholder Engagement: Represent EticaAG in high-level customer meetings, project discussions, permitting processes, and industry forums.  
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor regulatory frameworks, incentive programs, and storage monetization models to inform sales strategy and deal structuring.  
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with product, engineering, operations, and leadership teams to align customer needs with technical and commercial solutions.  
  • Customer Advocacy: Act as the voice of the customer internally, informing product positioning, deployment models, and sales enablement efforts.  

  

Qualifications  

  

  • 5+ years of sales or business development experience in energy storage, distributed energy, or adjacent clean energy sectors.  
  • Demonstrated success closing complex, technical infrastructure or energy system deals.  
  • Strong understanding of U.S. energy storage markets, including regulatory and incentive landscapes.  
  • Executive presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders across private and public sectors.  
  • Comfortable operating in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment with a hands-on approach to execution.  
  • Technical fluency in energy storage systems and solution-based selling.  
  • Willingness to travel as needed for customer meetings and industry engagement.
