We are expanding our team and seeking a Solutions Engineer to help drive customer success and support our sales efforts through technical expertise and consultative engagement.
Position Overview
The Solutions Engineer position will play a key role in supporting the sales team by delivering compelling product demonstrations, guiding customers through onboarding, and offering expert, consultative insights on infrastructure and fiber deployment challenges. This role bridges the gap between technical capabilities and customer needs, ensuring that clients fully understand the value and application of TKI’s solutions. This role has the opportunity to grow into building a team of Solutions Engineers and Customer Success Managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Enablement & Technical Support
- Partner with the sales team to understand customer needs and deliver tailored product demonstrations.
- Translate technical capabilities into clear, customer-focused benefits.
- Provide pre-sales technical guidance and support during the evaluation process.
- Customer Onboarding & Implementation
- Lead onboarding sessions, training, and best-practice workshops for new customers.
- Ensure smooth implementation of TKI products, including configuration guidance and ongoing support as customers adopt the solutions.
- Act as a technical advisor during early customer lifecycle stages to ensure successful adoption.
- Consultative Guidance
- Serve as a trusted advisor to infrastructure and fiber companies by providing insights on deployment, maintenance, operational efficiencies, and technology selection.
- Understand industry challenges and recommend solutions to help customers optimize their workflows and network performance.
- Maintain a high level of expertise on TKI’s product portfolio and industry trends.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with product management to relay customer feedback, feature requests, and market needs.
- Collaborate with marketing to refine product messaging and create technical sales materials.
- Support post-sales teams by providing technical insights and assisting in solutions troubleshooting when needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in a solutions engineering, sales engineering, technical account management, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of fiber-optic networks, infrastructure solutions, or related technologies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
- Experience supporting sales processes and interacting directly with customers.
- Ability to travel for customer demonstrations, site visits, or industry events (as needed).
Preferred Skills
- Experience with GIS, network design software, or field operations tools.
- Knowledge of fiber network construction, splicing, or testing processes.
- Previous experience working with infrastructure service providers, utilities, or telecom operators.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a consultative, customer-first mindset.
