About the Role
We are seeking a Client Implementation Consultant to support a large-scale bank merger by onboarding and migrating commercial clients across Treasury and Payments services, including file transmissions, Lockbox, Remote Deposit Capture (RDC), and ACH/Wire payment channels.
In this role, you will act as the primary client-facing implementation lead, guiding customers through discovery, setup, testing, and go-live while coordinating closely with internal Technology, Treasury Operations, Product, and Risk teams to ensure a seamless and compliant transition. This is a highly visible role focused on client experience, operational readiness, and conversion success.
Client Onboarding & Implementation
- Serve as the primary point of contact for commercial clients during onboarding and conversion across:
- Transmission channels (SFTP/host-to-host, APIs, file-based connectivity)
- Receivables services (Lockbox, RDC)
- Payments services (ACH, Wires, templates, approvals)
- Lead client discovery to understand payment, receivables, reporting, and connectivity requirements.
- Develop and manage end-to-end implementation plans, including timelines, testing cycles, dependencies, and cutover activities.
- Facilitate client status calls, document risks/issues, and drive resolution through cross-functional collaboration.
Technical & Operational Coordination
- Partner with internal IT, Channels, Treasury Operations, Risk/Fraud, and Product teams to configure services, entitlements, limits, and controls.
- Support file-based implementations, including formats such as NACHA, BAI2, ISO 20022, CSV, and image cash letter (ICL/X9.37).
- Coordinate testing and validation for file transmissions, lockbox data delivery, RDC deposits, and payment processing.
- Ensure proper setup of user access, approval workflows, dual controls, and cutoff times.
- Validate reconciliation, reporting, and downstream integration with client ERP/AR/AP systems.
Conversion & Go-Live Support
- Support client migrations from legacy bank platforms as part of a merger or system conversion.
- Execute go-live readiness reviews and ensure operational teams are prepared for Day 1 support.
- Provide client training, documentation, and post–go-live stabilization support.
- Ensure clean handoff to ongoing service and operations teams.
Required Qualifications
- 3–7+ years of experience in banking, treasury services, payments, or receivables implementation.
- Hands-on experience with one or more of the following:
- File transmissions (SFTP, host-to-host, APIs)
- Lockbox and/or RDC
- ACH and wire payments
- Strong understanding of commercial banking operations and client onboarding workflows.
- Proven ability to manage multiple client implementations simultaneously.
- Excellent client-facing communication, organization, and issue-management skills.
- Comfort working in regulated environments and coordinating across technical and non-technical teams.
Preferred / Nice to Have
- Experience supporting bank mergers, conversions, or large-scale client migrations.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as NACHA rules, ISO 20022, BAI2, ICL/X9.37.
- Exposure to treasury and payments platforms (e.g., FIS, Fiserv, Jack Henry, Bottomline, ACI, Kyriba).
- Experience integrating with client ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, NetSuite).
- Certifications such as CTP, AAP, PMP, or similar.
