There are millions of e-commerce businesses around the world, and the industry is growing each year, yet achieving profitability has never been harder. Costs are rising, it’s trickier to acquire customers, and it's critical to run with lean teams. As a result, the vast majority of brands guess about things like how to price their products, what discounts to offer, whether to charge for shipping, and what content they should show on the site, leaving 6–10% of potential profit on the table.
Intelligems is a profit growth platform that helps these entrepreneurs succeed by uncovering that profit. Our platform provides e-commerce merchants with a wide range of A/B testing and personalization tools to help them understand their data, run experiments, and price dynamically. We’re taking technology that has previously been available only to the Amazons and Ubers of the world, and making it available to e-commerce stores of any size.

The Role
As a Solutions Engineer at Intelligems, you’ll sit at the intersection of product, engineering, sales, onboarding, and customer success, empowering our internal teams to solve the hardest technical and feasibility problems.
You’ll join our growing Solutions Team, whose mission is to be the trusted product knowledge hub at Intelligems: accelerating customer outcomes, reducing load on Engineering, and turning repeatable learnings into scalable systems. This is a hands-on role for an adaptable self-starter who enjoys problem solving, debugging, building, and teaching.
You’ll partner with our key customer-facing teams to support ecommerce brands, often in fast-moving situations where you need to recommend the right Intelligems setup, and ensure the customer gets to value quickly and confidently.
Key Responsibilities
- Own technical discovery and solution design for complex customer scenarios
- Accelerate onboarding and time-to-value by advising on integration approach and troubleshooting compatibility issues
- Be the escalation point for high-complexity feasibility tickets; identify root cause, communicate clearly with customers, and drive quick resolutions
- Build and maintain internal enablement: technical playbooks, FAQs, and resources that help customer-facing teams solve problems independently
- Turn customer insights into scalable improvements by:
- identifying recurring friction
- proposing product changes
- developing lightweight tooling or internal workflows
- Level up the org technically through workshops & office hours
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in a Solutions Engineering, or similar, customer-facing technical role
- Excellent written and verbal communication; able to explain technical concepts clearly to both engineers and non-technical operators
- High ownership and follow-through: you can take an ambiguous problem, drive to root cause, and ship a solution
- Prior work in a high-growth startup environment, building processes while executing at a high level
- Customer-first, empathetic mindset
- Ecommerce experience preferred (Shopify experience highly preferred)
- Experience supporting integrations and/or SaaS platform implementations preferred
