Role Overview

The Sr. Director – Semiconductor Fab/Foundry Sales will serve as Tata Electronics’ senior commercial leader for advanced wafer fabrication and foundry services in the U.S. market. This executive will develop and drive the sales strategy, expand relationships with major semiconductor companies, and position Tata Electronics as a competitive and trusted advanced manufacturing partner. The ideal candidate has deep experience selling leading‑edge and mature-node foundry services, a strong technical understanding of semiconductor process technologies, and a proven track record closing strategic, high‑value engagements.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Business Growth

  • Develop and execute the U.S. market strategy for Tata Electronics’ foundry and front‑end manufacturing services.
  • Identify, qualify, and close major opportunities across key semiconductor segments including compute, mobile, automotive, industrial, and specialty devices.
  • Drive revenue growth through new customer acquisition, long-term agreements, and multi-year wafer supply contracts.

Customer Engagement & Account Leadership

  • Build, own, and deepen executive‑level relationships with Tier‑1 semiconductor companies, fabless firms, and IDMs.
  • Lead complex commercial negotiations involving pricing, technology alignment, production ramps, and multi-site supply strategies.
  • Develop strategic account plans and host executive business reviews to align roadmaps and capacity planning.

Technology & Manufacturing Alignment

  • Work closely with Technology Development, Operations, and Program Management to ensure Tata Electronics’ foundry capabilities align with customer requirements.
  • Provide input into process technology roadmaps, node development priorities, and capital investment planning.
  • Support customer qualification, NPI transitions, and high-volume manufacturing readiness.

Market Insights & Competitive Intelligence

  • Track U.S. and global semiconductor trends in process technology, capacity expansions, pricing, and competitive positioning.
  • Communicate market insights to senior leadership to influence strategy, partnerships, and long-term investments.
  • Represent Tata Electronics at industry conferences, customer forums, and technical events.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Build and lead a high-performance U.S.‑based sales and account management team.
  • Develop talent through coaching, mentoring, and establishing a culture of accountability and customer focus.
  • Partner with global teams to ensure seamless customer experience across geographies.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 15–20+ years of experience in semiconductor foundry sales, business development, or strategic account management.
  • Strong understanding of wafer manufacturing processes including CMOS logic, analog/mixed-signal, RF, power technologies, and specialty nodes.
  • Demonstrated success closing large-scale, multi-year foundry engagements with major semiconductor customers.
  • Deep network across senior executives in the U.S. semiconductor ecosystem.
  • Experience working with mainstream technology nodes, process technology roadmaps, and manufacturing capability planning.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
