Job Description
We are a fast-growing outdoor lifestyle brand with deep roots in sustainability, adventure, and premium performance apparel. As we expand into the US market, we’re looking for a strategic and hands-on Director of Sales to lead our wholesale growth and establish strong partnerships with key outdoor retailers.
As Director of Sales, you will be responsible for building, executing, and driving our wholesale strategy across the United States. You’ll play a pivotal role in positioning our brand, securing retail partnerships, and achieving ambitious sales targets within the first year.
What you will do
- Strategic Leadership: Define and implement the US wholesale strategy aligned with global brand goals.
- Retail Partnerships: Build and manage relationships with key outdoor retailers and specialty accounts.
- Brand Positioning: Ensure consistent brand representation across all retail touchpoints.
- Market Expansion: Identify and pursue new market opportunities to drive brand penetration.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product, and operations teams to align sales initiatives.
- Forecasting & Reporting: Lead sales forecasting, performance tracking, and reporting to senior leadership.
- Team Building: Potential to build and lead a high-performing US sales team as the business scales.
What you will need
- Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in wholesale sales, specifically within outdoor apparel brands.
- Proven track record of driving growth strategies and securing retail partnerships in the US market.
- Deep understanding of the outdoor lifestyle and performance apparel industry.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Strong collaborator and team player with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Experience in brand expansion and market penetration strategies.
