Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and energetic Director of Sales to lead our sales initiatives, cultivate new business opportunities, and support our growth in the multifamily construction sector. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with project managers to ensure seamless project acquisition and execution, while traveling nationwide to attend tradeshows and industry events.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet company growth targets in the multifamily construction market.
- Identify, cultivate, and close new business opportunities, including project leads and client relationships.
- Partner effectively with project managers to align sales strategies with project delivery capabilities.
- Represent the company at tradeshows, industry conferences, and networking events to generate leads and promote our services.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with property owners, management companies, and other key stakeholders.
- Lead, motivate, and oversee the outside sales team to ensure consistent outreach and success.
- Negotiate contracts and terms that favor both the client and the company, ensuring profitability.
- Stay informed about market trends, competitive activity, and industry developments to refine sales approaches.
- Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and detailed reports for executive review.
- Travel as needed across the country to attend tradeshows, meet clients, and explore new markets.
Qualifications:
- Proven success in sales within the construction, real estate development, or multifamily housing industry.
- Experience working collaboratively with project teams, especially project managers.
- Strong track record of achieving sales targets and growing business portfolios.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to develop and execute strategic sales initiatives.
- Willingness to travel nationally to industry events and client meetings.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, or related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
- Knowledge of regional markets and established industry contacts preferred.
- Contacts in the industry is a plus
