Brief Description

CAMS is seeking a Field Implementation Manager to provide daily on-site monitoring and support of construction activities for major power generation and energy infrastructure projects.

Merom Generating Station is a 2-Unit, 1080-MW rated coal-fired power plant.

The IM serves as the day-to-day field presence, monitoring safety, quality, and execution at the workface while supporting inspections, turnover readiness, and issue identification. This role reports to the Project Construction Manager and works closely with EPC field leadership and plant personnel.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Field Execution Monitoring

  • Maintain daily on-site presence to observe construction activities and work sequencing.
  • Monitor adherence to safety plans, quality requirements, and approved work practices.
  • Identify field issues early and escalate through the Project Construction Manager.

Safety & Quality Support

  • Participate in safety meetings, field walkdowns, and inspections.
  • Support quality inspections, punch list development, and corrective action tracking.
  • Verify workmanship aligns with drawings, specifications, and standards.

Coordination & Documentation

  • Interface with EPC foremen and superintendents at the task level.
  • Support LOTO coordination, access planning, and plant interface activities.
  • Provide daily activity reports and assist with issue logs and turnover documentation.
  • Assist with contractor evaluations and performance ratings as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline; or equivalent field experience.
  • 5+ years of field experience in industrial or power plant construction.
  • Strong understanding of construction safety and quality practices.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and document field observations accurately.
  • Work on-site full-time

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in operating facilities.
  • OSHA 30 or equivalent safety training.
  • Experience supporting outage-related construction activities.
