Reports to: Director, Implementation  

Purpose

The Implementation Manager is responsible for leading the onboarding and implementation of new programs. This includes overseeing cross-functional project plans, engaging internal stakeholders, and ensuring timely and accurate execution of all implementation activities. This is a strategic liaison between clients, pharmaceutical manufacturers, internal operations, and IT teams, ensuring operational readiness and compliance across all service lines.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and manages end-to-end implementations of new drug programs, patient services, and/or pharmaceutical partnerships by setting the implementation strategy considering timelines, impacts, and risks.
  • Helps address implementation roadblocks, removes obstacles and/or other constraints.
  • Manages multiple client projects at one time.
  • Provides guidance and recommendations to clients about implementation and integration procedures to add the greatest value for the clients.
  • Provides an escalation point for issues that may arise throughout the implementation period.
  • Acts as a liaison with subsidiary management and staff to resolve issues as needed.
  • Supports the development and management of detailed internal and external project plans, timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Leads a project management team to ensure timely completion of agendas, meeting summaries, project plans, and assigned tasks within established deadlines.
  • Facilitates cross-functional meetings to ensure alignment between pharmacy operations, clinical services, IT, compliance, and client services.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact during implementation, addressing client needs, status updates, and problem resolution.
  • Collaborates with pharmaceutical manufacturers and trade partners to understand program requirements and ensure proper integration with pharmacy operations.
  • Documents implementation processes, contributes to SOPs, and ensures project governance and quality standards are met.
  • Tracks project performance, identifies risks, and drives timely mitigation strategies.
  • Other duties as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare or related discipline.  
  • Minimum of four (4) years experience in system implementations, project management, multiple technologies, frameworks, processes, application, or other directly related experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with both management and staff at all levels. Proven experience managing client-facing projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience working with and leading diverse groups and matrix managed environments.  
  • Proficient with project management tools and MS-Office applications.  

Preferred Qualifications

  • Healthcare experience.
  • PMP certification.

Work Environment

This position operates in a home or professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
