Your role as a Implementation Manager (Warehouse Operations)

$87,000 - $114,000 plus bonus
Position Overview
NewCold is seeking an Implementation Manager to play a critical role in driving new projects forward and supporting our rapidly growing business. In this position, you will lead the operational implementation of state-of-the-art NewCold facilities from the construction phase through startup, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with operational excellence standards.
As an Implementation Manager, you will collaborate closely with the Construction Project Director, IT Project Manager, and other key project team members to track and communicate building milestones, ensuring operational readiness for site acceptance testing and go-live activities. You will lead preparations for startup, including:
- Acting as the primary liaison between the client and NewCold to develop startup wave plans and document operational specifications.
- Facilitating training programs for new site associates.
- Providing strategic input on warehouse layout, pick-line setup, and process flows.
- Coordinating procurement and timely delivery of operational equipment and supplies.
- Supporting site teams during startup to ensure a smooth transition into full operations.
This role requires a proactive leader with strong project management skills, warehouse/supply chain, or manufacturing operational expertise, and the ability to influence cross-functional collaboration with the other disciplines within the project team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage operational implementation of new facilities from construction through startup.
- Develop and maintain project timelines, ensuring alignment with operational milestones.
- Lead operational readiness activities, including site acceptance testing and startup planning.
- Facilitate onboarding and training for new site associates.
- Provide input on warehouse design, process flows, and operational best practices.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between NewCold and clients during implementation.
- Document operational requirements and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Coordinate procurement and delivery of equipment, tools, and supplies prior to go-live.
- Support site teams during initial operations to resolve issues and optimize workflows.
- Monitor project performance and report progress to senior leadership.
- Assists business development and operations in implementing new clients and smaller CAPEX projects in existing warehouses.

Requirements
- 5 years of experience working in a similar capacity.
- Experience implementing hardware and software in a warehousing environment.
- Background or knowledge of construction preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication and the ability to build strong relationships.
- Experience leading large-scale projects.
- Strong knowledge of material handling engineering in scope of warehouse implementations.
- Willingness to travel at up to 75% of the time.
- Ability to work on-site at new facilities, as well as working from either a site or the Chicago office if not traveling.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or related field preferred but not required.
