Lead Solutions Architect
Role Purpose
The Lead Architect will establish and guide the architectural foundation for our global MGA’s emerging solution development and automation enablement capability. This is a hands-on, technical leadership role responsible for building the frameworks, environments, and standards needed to prototype agent-driven solutions quickly and transition them into MGA’s traditional IT ecosystem.
The Lead Architect will define the technical pathways that connect experimentation with enterprise readiness — building a sandbox environment, establishing integration patterns, and ensuring solutions can scale securely across the business. This role blends modern software engineering, cloud-native development, and strong knowledge of traditional IT systems (ERP, data platforms, infrastructure, cybersecurity).
This position is the anchor of MGA’s move from a support-focused IT model to a product-centric, innovation-driven technology organization.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Architecture Leadership
- Establish the architectural vision and standards for automation and agent-enabled product development.
- Define MGA’s technical framework for rapid proof of concept, modular development, and scalable integration.
- Build the foundation for an internal product engineering capability operating alongside traditional IT.
- Translate long-term technology strategy into actionable reference architectures and reusable patterns.
Engineering & Platform Ownership
- Design and build the company’s automation sandbox environment, ensuring secure, compliant, and scalable experimentation.
- Develop the transition pipeline — moving prototypes into enterprise-ready solutions through defined quality, security, and performance gates.
- Own API strategy, integration patterns, microservice architecture, data access frameworks, and cloud infrastructure design.
- Deliver reference implementations, starter templates, and tooling that accelerate product team velocity.
Automation Enablement & Solution Architecture
- Partner with Solution designers, Data miners, and Engineering teams to architect automation enabled features, workflows, and applications.
- Define the standards for model deployment, vector search, data pipelines, and runtime hosting.
- Ensure solutions integrate properly with core enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, eCommerce, Data Warehouse).
Enterprise Alignment
- Serve as the bridge between modern development practices and the existing enterprise IT estate.
- Ensure all new solutions fit MGA’s security, governance, compliance, and operational standards.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, ERP, and Data warehouse teams to ensure smooth integration and long-term maintainability.
- Maintain architectural consistency across environments, products, and teams.
Team Leadership & Culture
- Act as the senior-most technical mentor for full-stack developers, ML engineers, and platform engineers.
- Build a culture of pragmatic, hands-on engineering balanced with disciplined architectural thinking.
- Contribute to building MGA’s internal product engineering team structure and capability.
- Provide coaching and guidance that grows mid-level engineers into future technical leads.
Key Deliverables (First 18–24 Months)
- Publish MGA’s Architecture Framework for AI-enabled solution development.
- Build the business process automation sandbox environment and secure access model.
- Deliver the transition pipeline for promoting prototypes into production.
- Produce reference architectures and reusable components for APIs, integrations, and automation workflows.
- Support the launch of multiple AI-enabled products/solutions or automation across business units.
- Establish core architectural guardrails for ERP, data, integration, and cloud alignment.
Experience & Qualifications
- 7–12 years experience in software engineering or solution architecture.
- Hands-on expertise in cloud-native development (AWS/Azure/GCP), containers, and modern application architectures.
- Experience deploying AI/ML systems, LLM-based applications, or automation frameworks.
- Strong understanding of enterprise technologies: ERP systems, system integrations, data platforms, Power Platforms, identity management.
- Proficient with DevOps practices (CI/CD, IaC, observability) and secure-by-design engineering principles.
- Prior experience in modernization environments or product engineering teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
