Regional Sales Director – Cloud Solutions (Energy & Utilities)
Overview
The Regional Sales Director is responsible for driving new business development and revenue growth within an assigned geographic territory. This role oversees the full sales lifecycle—from pipeline creation to deal closure—focusing on delivering innovative, cloud-based solutions that align with the strategic objectives of clients in the Energy and Utilities sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Position the company as a premier provider of SaaS solutions and services for the Utility Industry.
- Develop and execute territory plans and strategies to identify and secure new clients within assigned regions, focusing on mid-market utilities (35K–2M accounts).
- Build and maintain relationships with evaluation consultants, partners, and key industry influencers.
- Create and manage account plans for key clients, identifying opportunities and aligning internal resources to meet client needs.
- Establish and nurture executive-level relationships to enhance brand awareness, credibility, and business opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to pursue and close strategic business opportunities.
- Promote and sell the organization’s full portfolio of business services solutions, including CIS, customer engagement, application maintenance and hosting, business analytics, and consulting services.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by demonstrating in-depth knowledge of utility operations and systems.
- Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry associations as appropriate.
- Lead responses to RFIs and RFPs and guide the development of competitive proposals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities within the company’s CRM system.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of sales and account management experience within Technology, Energy, or Utilities sectors.
- Proven track record of selling SaaS and complex service-based solutions.
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams to develop and deliver client solutions.
- Consistent record of exceeding sales quotas and building strong client relationships.
- Experience in the utilities or government sectors preferred.
- Strong executive relationship management and client retention skills.
- High energy, passion for growth, and commitment to client success.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
Location
- Remote, U.S.-based. Louisiana, Texas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas
- Willingness to travel up to 50%.
