Sales Director - Locum Tenens
About the Company
ConnectHealth is a rapidly growing locum tenens staffing firm specializing in nationwide physician and APP coverage. We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Sales to lead our locum tenens sales organization, drive revenue growth, and expand our market presence as we continue to scale.
About the Role
This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for setting the sales vision, strengthening client relationships, and building a high-performing sales team. The Director of Sales must have deep experience in the locum tenens industry, a strong command of sales strategy, and the ability to execute in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and scale the entire locum tenens sales function, including team structure, performance, and strategic direction.
- Oversee full sales lifecycles, from new client acquisition to long-term account expansion and retention.
- Develop and implement national sales strategies to accelerate revenue growth and increase market share.
- Build and sustain strong executive-level relationships with hospitals, health systems, medical groups, and MSPs.
- Work closely with Recruiting, Credentialing, Finance, and Operations to ensure seamless service delivery and exceptional client satisfaction.
- Own sales forecasting, KPI management, and reporting to senior leadership.
- Negotiate enterprise-level contracts and secure long-term agreements.
- Hire, develop, mentor, and evaluate sales talent to foster a culture of accountability, performance, and collaboration.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, client requirements, and internal processes.
- Represent ConnectHealth at key client meetings, conferences, and industry events.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in locum tenens staffing, with at least 2 years in a sales leadership or director-level role.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and leading high-performing sales teams.
- Strong existing relationships within the locums ecosystem (required).
- Deep understanding of MSP/VMS platforms, rate structures, contract negotiation, and credentialing workflows.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and executive presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build, develop, and motivate sales talent.
- Highly organized, data-driven, and effective at operating in a fast-moving, scaling organization.
- Ability to travel for client meetings and industry events as needed.

- Strong knowledge of MSP/VMS systems, pricing structures, and delivery workflows.
