Job Overview

The Sales Engineer will serve as the primary technical enablement partner for a large enterprise SaaS organization. This role blends product expertise, sales enablement, and live event storytelling to help sellers understand, demonstrate, and position a complex financial/technology platform. The ideal candidate has strong experience in sales engineering for software or financial products, excels in demo creation and presentation, and can translate product capabilities into compelling value propositions for diverse audiences. This is a fully remote role with periodic travel for trade shows, customer events, and internal training.

Team Structure

  • Embedded within the product organization, supporting all sales enablement activities
  • Works cross-functionally with product managers, sales teams, marketing, and enablement partners
  • Collaborates closely with product teams to understand releases, build demos, and craft messaging
  • Engages frequently with new and existing sellers to provide ongoing training

Responsibilities

  • Build end-to-end, audience-specific product demos, scripts, and messaging tied to each product release.
  • Deliver compelling live presentations, trade show demos, and event storytelling, representing the product at industry shows and customer events.
  • Partner with product management to understand new functionality, roadmap updates, and product value propositions.
  • Lead sales enablement efforts, including developing training materials and packaging value-based messaging for sellers.
  • Support new seller onboarding by training them on platform functionality and demo execution.
  • Create and maintain customer-facing roadmap presentations to help sellers overcome objections and convey upcoming capabilities.
  • Tailor demos and messaging for each trade show or customer segment.
  • Update demo environments 1–4 times per quarter based on release schedules and product changes.
  • Travel to customer events, trade shows, and internal sessions approximately once every 4–6 weeks.
  • Use tools like TestBox and other demo-building technologies to create and maintain high-quality demo environments.

Required Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of Sales Engineering experience, ideally with enterprise SaaS or financial platforms.
  • Strong understanding of product management workflows, release cycles, and technical product capabilities.
  • Demonstrated experience creating technical product demos and writing demo scripts.
  • Proven public speaking and storytelling skills, especially in event, trade show, or live presentation environments.
  • Experience in sales enablement, including training sellers and developing structured value messaging.
  • Ability to translate technical features into clear, engaging value propositions for multiple audiences.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional teams, including product, sales, and marketing.
  • Ability to quickly learn complex technical or financial software products (financial background strongly preferred).
  • Experience with demo platforms and tools such as TestBox.
  • Willingness to travel every 4–6 weeks for events and customer engagements.
