Solutions Engineer - Specialty Insurance
Company Description
BindHQ provides a modern, cloud-based agency operating system specifically designed for MGAs, MGUs, and Wholesalers in the insurance industry. Customers use BindHQ to automate high-friction workflows, lower operating costs, and evolve their businesses with continuous product updates.
Job Responsibilities
You’ll own the end-to-end demo and follow-up experience that converts interest into technical win. You’ll build and run verticalized demos, lead technical discovery, scope light POCs, and drive crisp, documented follow-ups. You’ll collaborate with Sales, Product, and Implementations to ensure prospects see their workflows working in BindHQ—and that handoffs are seamless.
What you'll do
- Demo factory ownership: Build/maintain reliable demo environments, curated datasets, and scripts for key LOBs (e.g., trucking, inland marine, excess casualty).
- Live demos & discovery: Tailor flows by persona; explain how BindHQ wraps existing AMS/PAS; handle technical Q&A and objections.
- POCs / light pilots: Define success criteria, load sample data (CSV/API), wire minimal integrations, measure outcomes, present findings.
- Follow-up excellence: Same-day recap notes with mapped requirements, ROI snapshots, timeline/owner matrix, and next steps logged in CRM.
- Solution design: Advise on integrations with PAS/AMS, CRM, payments, filings, and data pipelines; partner with our team on smooth handoffs to implementation.
- Troubleshooting & enablement: Unblock technical issues during evals; create internal playbooks and reusable assets.
Qualifications
- Pre-/post-sales solutions experience in B2B software (insurance or adjacent strongly preferred).
- Comfortable with process design and configuring complex systems (PAS/AMS, ERP, CRM).
- Demo craft + communication: Clear narratives for non-technical and technical stakeholders; crisp written follow-ups.
- Strong presentation skills and the ability to translate pains into measurable outcomes.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred (not required).
Nice to have
- Insurance domain knowledge (endorsements, filings, bordereaux, reinsurance).
- Experience with HubSpot/Salesforce and sales engagement tooling.
- Familiarity with automation (n8n/Make) or light scripting (Python/TypeScript).
- Exposure to data warehousing/BI.
