IVCi is seeking a Technical Business Development Manager – Robotics, AI & Emerging Technologies

with a strong technical foundation and business acumen. This role sits at the intersection of sales, solution design, and emerging technology strategy.

This is not a traditional sales role. You will serve as a technical and commercial bridge between IVCi’s internal engineering, operations, and services teams and our customers. You will work closely with enterprise clients to understand their operational challenges and translate IVCi’s robotics, AI-enabled, and advanced audiovisual solutions into practical, scalable deployments. This role plays a critical part in shaping how IVCi brings new technologies, such as service robots, AI-driven collaboration tools, and automation into real-world business environments, while building long-term, trusted client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Pre-Sales & Solution Development

• Lead technical discovery and pre-sales engagement for robotics, AI-enabled, and advanced technology solutions.

• Conduct solution demonstrations, technical presentations, and collaborate on preliminary system designs tailored to customer use cases.

• Partner with sales, engineering, and operations to ensure solutions are feasible, scalable, and aligned with IVCi standards.

Client Discovery & Translation

• Serve as a primary technical resource during customer engagements, uncovering operational, technical, and business requirements.

• Translate customer needs into clear solution concepts, scope definitions, and internal handoffs for engineering and project teams.

• Help customers understand how emerging technologies can be practically integrated into their environments.

Strategic Account & Opportunity Development

• Build strong, long-term relationships with customer stakeholders across IT, facilities, operations, and procurement.

• Support account expansion by identifying additional use cases for robotics, AI, and advanced collaboration solutions.

• Act as a trusted advisor, helping customers evaluate technology investments and adoption strategies.

Market Intelligence & Feedback Loop

• Monitor industry trends related to robotics, AI, automation, collaboration technology, and workplace experience.

• Provide feedback from the field to inform IVCi’s go-to-market approach, partnerships, and solution offerings.

• Assist leadership in evaluating new technologies, vendors, and strategic partnerships.

Ecosystem & Partnership Development

• Proactively identify, establish, and manage strategic relationships with technology partners, manufacturers, and platform providers.

• Drive the expansion of IVCi’s offerings by sourcing and evaluating new partners, pilots, and innovative service models.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).

• 3+ years of experience in technical business development, pre-sales engineering, solutions consulting, or technical account management.

• Experience working with complex technology solutions such as AV systems, automation, robotics, AI-enabled platforms, IT infrastructure, or IoT.

• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Ability to work cross-functionally with sales, engineering, and operations teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in audiovisual integration, managed services, workplace technology, robotics deployments, or enterprise technology environments.

• Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce).

• Experience working with enterprise or multi-site customers.

• Comfort operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment with emerging technologies.

• Demonstrated curiosity, learning agility, and problem-solving mindset.

Working Conditions

• Ability to travel up to 15% as needed.

• Occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds.

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

• Occasional standing, walking, reaching, bending, or kneeling as required for customer site visits or demonstrations.

• Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
