Job Description

If you thrive on solving complex technical challenges with tangible, real-world impact—rather than simply processing tickets—this opportunity deserves your attention. This position is designed for the engineer who seeks more than configuration tasks or code commits. It's for the technical operator ready to own the success of education technology that transforms student outcomes.

Studient doesn't merely integrate AI into legacy educational systems. We've developed something fundamentally different: the Motivention™ platform. This system fuses AI with motivation science to provide real-time, individualized mastery pathways for learners. Schools implementing our platform see students who were two years behind catch up 4.6x faster. We guarantee these outcomes: districts compensate us only when students demonstrate measurable academic progress.

Your role sits at the critical intersection of our technology and district IT infrastructure. You'll ensure that every deployment is seamless, dependable, and rapid. You'll diagnose intricate technical problems, interpret system requirements, and collaborate directly with district IT leadership to maintain clean, functional systems. Your contributions enable teachers to focus on instruction and students to succeed—while our platform delivers proven results.

Prepared to construct the infrastructure for something genuinely meaningful?

What You Will Be Doing

  • Diagnosing and resolving technical challenges related to school IT environments, SIS integrations, and platform functionality—frequently in real time.
  • Facilitating IT onboarding sessions with district stakeholders to verify system compatibility, data security protocols, and optimal configurations.
  • Building and sustaining automated workflows that span SIS systems, HubSpot, Google Sheets, APIs, and AWS QuickSight.
  • Working cross-functionally with sales, support, and implementation teams to accelerate adoption and minimize time-to-impact.
  • Creating documentation, developing scalable templates, and eliminating reliance on tribal knowledge or improvised solutions.

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Working in isolation, writing code with no insight into its real-world impact.
  • Providing teacher training or managing instructional change management—this position centers on systems, not pedagogy.
  • Navigating bureaucratic obstacles to accomplish tasks—we prioritize speed, clarity, and independent action.
  • Creating redundant, one-off integrations—we've established playbooks and automation for consistency and scale.
  • Pursuing ambiguous support tickets—you'll operate with structure, context, and defined priorities.

Technical Implementation Specialist Key Responsibilities

Deliver seamless, scalable MTSS platform implementations that minimize school IT friction, drive rapid adoption, and enable measurable improvements in student achievement.

Basic Requirements

  • Background supporting K–12 school IT systems, with working knowledge of SIS platforms and integration tools like Clever.
  • Robust technical troubleshooting abilities and capacity to communicate complex systems to non-technical audiences.
  • Competency with HubSpot, Google Sheets (including automation capabilities), and data visualization through AWS QuickSight or comparable platforms.
  • Knowledge of FERPA and student data privacy regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal capabilities; must be comfortable facilitating calls, troubleshooting on-site, and collaborating across departments.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S., willing to travel up to 70%, and able to clear background checks necessary for K–12 school environments.

Nice-to-have Requirements

  • Experience with AI tools and their application to workflow automation or optimization.
  • Previous technical implementation experience in EdTech or within school districts.
  • Understanding of API-based integrations and data flow architecture.
